I am the author of a new book THE ROLE OF THE AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM IN PSYCHIATRY, 2ND EDITION, the 1st edition was finished in Oct 2013 and the 2nd edition in Sept 2014. The book is a 152 page paperback, with tables and figures in color, discussing case management of 18 of my most complex patients and how treatment of their autonomic problems helped their progress.
The book is now no charge for the paperback or electronic edition. The shipping on the paperback is an additional charge and varies upon location of shipment.
"How do the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems coordinate or oppose each other in organ systems like the heart and blood vessels, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, sexual organs, immune system, brain, and endocrine system? What happens when the sympathetic and/or the parasympathetic system is deficient or dysregulated? How can we restore balance in the systems? Here is a book which answers these complex questions in an easily understood fashion through case management of 18 patients. There is a summation chapter on results in first 15 patients in the first edition plus a commentary on the added 3 patients compared with some of first 15 patients in the second edition. Multiple treatment approaches by specialists failed to accomplish resolution of symptoms until the autonomic problems were addressed."
